Recognised for her expertise in defending the rights of vulnerable women, children, and families, Samreen has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases involving asylum, domestic violence, FGM protection, medical treatment, and family reunification. Joanna Rychlicka is a Senior Immigration Adviser and Office Manager at Peer & Co Immigration Lawyers, bringing over 12 years of experience in UK immigration law and client representation. As a highly skilled IAA-accredited adviser, Joanna manages some of the firm’s most complex immigration and human rights matters, including family, private life, nationality, EUSS, and Skilled Worker applications.

Fluent in English and Polish, Joanna is known for her meticulous attention to detail, exceptional drafting skills, and empathetic client care. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the UK Immigration Rules, case law, and Home Office policy, enabling her to provide clear, strategic, and successful legal solutions for a diverse client base.

James Roberts

Immigration Caseworker

James Roberts is an experienced Immigration Caseworker with a strong background in both private and humanitarian immigration law. Over the past eight years, he has advised and represented clients across a wide range of complex immigration and asylum matters, building a reputation for diligence, empathy, and excellent results.

James began his legal career at Fountain Solicitors, where he specialised in asylum law, drafting appeal grounds and managing tribunal cases with a high degree of success. His experience extends through roles at Immigration Advice Service, UK Migration Lawyers, and the Refugee and Migrant Centre, where he handled cases involving Appendix FM, EU Settlement Scheme, Private Life, and Naturalisation applications. He has also provided legal supervision and in-house training to junior caseworkers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Currently, James serves as an Immigration Caseworker with Shropshire Supports Refugees, leading on complex immigration cases and policy development. His work frequently involves assisting vulnerable clients with fee waiver applications, asylum claims, and routes to settlement and citizenship.

James is accredited by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 2, authorising him to provide immigration and asylum advice and representation independently.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Legal Studies and an HND in Legal Studies from Birmingham City University, where he also developed his early interest in international law and policy.

Beyond his professional practice, James maintains an interest in the wider implications of UK and EU immigration policy following Brexit, and he enjoys rugby and other team sports in his spare time.
